Write it once. Know when it's out of date.
A shared home for how your team works. Easy to write in, easy to search, and it flags what needs another look.
Write in a visual editor, like any document. No syntax to learn. Prefer Markdown? It's a switch away.
Contentmunch is where a team writes down how things work, and keeps it right.
Write
A visual editor with nothing to learn, and Markdown a switch away. Diagrams, tables, images and polls in the same page.
Trust
Notes include each other instead of being copied. When a source changes, everything that relied on it is flagged for review.
Find
Search that shows the matching passage, and answers from what your team wrote rather than from the internet.
AI that waits to be asked.
Most products add AI everywhere. Here it appears where it helps, and stays out of the way otherwise.
- Only on request. Summaries, quizzes and answers appear because someone asked for them.
- From your notes. Answers come from the passage and the note around it.
- You decide what stays. Nothing is shared or changed until you say so.
- Admins hold the switch. Any AI tool can be turned off for a workspace.
Teams whose work depends on what they've written down.
Software firms and engineering teams
Runbooks, architecture notes, decision logs and client project handbooks, with diagrams and API references in the same pages.
Agencies, consultancies and small businesses
Procedures, client onboarding, policies and templates, with someone accountable for keeping each one right.
Anyone whose know-how lives in a few heads
If people keep asking each other the same questions, the answers belong in one place that stays correct.
Frequently asked questions
What is Contentmunch?
A shared knowledge base for teams: notes written in a visual editor that include each other, with a review trail that flags what has gone stale, roles for who writes and approves, and tools for diagrams, search and questions.
Do I need to know Markdown?
No. You write in a visual editor with a familiar toolbar, and what you see is what readers get. If you like Markdown, switch to it at any moment. Every note is stored as plain Markdown either way, so nothing is locked in.
How does Contentmunch keep documentation from going stale?
Reused content stays connected to its source. When a source changes you are asked whether it changes what it says, and if it does, every note that includes it is flagged for review. Notes past their review date, or citing an API operation that has since been removed, are flagged too.
Do we need to be an engineering team?
No. The core is plain writing, reuse and review. If your team builds software there are diagrams, API specs and runbooks on top.
Who can see and change what?
Readers read and search. Editors write. Publishers approve and publish what editors send. Admins manage people and settings. Text marked for particular readers is never sent to anyone else.
Can we share some notes outside the team?
Yes. Published notes can be fed to your own website, so a help centre or an updates page comes from notes you already keep.
How does the AI work in Contentmunch?
You ask about the exact passage you're reading, and the answer comes from the note's content. You choose whether to keep an answer for everyone, and summaries and quizzes are marked out of date when the note changes.
How do I get access to Contentmunch?
We're onboarding a small number of teams directly. Request access and we'll follow up personally.
